What’s Happening at Your Local Library?
We have had questions about our current hours of operation. We are open six days a week, four hours a day to serve YOU! Since May 1st, 2021, our hours have been as follows: Mon., Wed., Fri., Sat. 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Tues. and Thurs. 3 to 7 p.m. Stop by to see what we have to offer. We are more than just books. We have DVDs, magazines, large print selections, audiobooks (both CDs and Playaways) as well as computer stations, faxing, scanning, notary services and more. If you haven’t been here, you are truly missing out on one of the best kept secrets on the island. We are the community center of your dreams!
February Events
In the interest of the safety of our community, we have decided to pause in person programs at the library for the month of February. We will reassess the impact COVID is having in the next few weeks to make a decision of whether or not in person programs will be held in March.
The library will still be open to come in and browse or utilize our other resources. Patrons can participate in our Winter Reading program, which runs through February 28th.
If you’re wanting to minimize your contact with other individuals, you can use our hold lockers.
Wed., Feb. 16th at 5:30 p.m.: Words & Wine Book Club via Zoom – Join us and share a book you have read while enjoying a beverage of your own choosing. Even if you haven’t had time to read, you are welcome to join us to hear what others are suggesting. We can’t wait to hear what you have been reading! This will be a zoom event.
Mon., Feb. 21st: CLOSED in observance of President’s Day
Special thanks goes out this month to Stephanie Thanasiu for presenting to the librarians a gorgeous candy wreath to share with our patrons. If you haven’t stopped by to grab a piece of this delicious assortment of candy, you need to today before you miss out.
Do you have an idea for a program that you would like us to host? Let us know. We are open to fresh ideas.
