Chamber News

The Put-in-Bay Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Bureau has been very busy in the offseason preparing for the upcoming tourist season. The 2022 Island Guide and Island Map designs have been finalized and will be printed in February and March. Look for the new guide online at visitputinbay.com and printed versions can be found at the Ottawa Co. Visitor’s Center. Printed guides will be more available as the season gets closer and more businesses open. Also set for 2022 are dates for all Chamber-sponsored and affiliated events. Events can be found on Facebook or at visitputinbay.com/search-events.
In the spring, the Chamber will be hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony to showcase the newly remodeled visitor’s information office and building signage. The office is getting a much needed facelift over the winter to keep up with the new branding colors, messaging and logos. Look for more information in March. To keep up with the latest Chamber news you can sign up for our monthly newsletter on the chamber website or by texting PUTINBAY to 22828.
We’d like to thank everyone who donated and purchased a brick for the new Put-in-Bay Community Sign. Brick order forms will be sent via mail and email in mid-February. We’re finalizing a contract with a brick engraving company and will get those forms out as soon as we have them. The sign is currently being built in Cleveland by Signature Sign Co., the same company that has built all of the infamous script Cleveland signs. Look for more information about a sign dedication ceremony in April.
In case you missed it, the PIB Chamber of Commerce will be changing our membership meetings starting now through 2022. We will no longer be hosting monthly meetings. Instead, we will be hosting a Spring meeting, in May, to kick off the season and a Fall meeting, in October, to evaluate the season. Both meetings will be focused with an agenda and purpose. This change will allow the Chamber to make the member meetings our top priority as we will only be having two per year. Members can stay informed throughout the year by reading the monthly member newsletters in your email inbox.
