The answer really depends on what you plan to book and how many people are coming with you. A 2- or 4-person hotel room downtown is priced similar to rooms in Las Vegas on weekends. Bringing a group of people and splitting the cost of a large house or condo makes prices much more affordable. On average, a midweek night can cost around $150 for a hotel room or rental house. On the weekends, expect rates to increase upwards of $500 a night with the end of July being the high point of the season.
Is Put-in-Bay lodging good for bachelor/bachelorette parties?
Yes! You will first need to think about narrowing down your number to something more specific before you start your booking, because your options will vary depending on whether your number is 10 or 20. Hotel rooms generally only sleep 4 people maximum (so you will need to book a bunch of rooms for a big group), the brand new waterfront condos sleep up to 10 or 12 girls, and vacation rental homes can sleep anywhere from 8 up to 16 girls comfortably.
One of our favorite hotels is the Commodore Resort because it has a good variety of rooms (including 6-person suites) and it has a pool with the island’s best pool bar. One of our favorite larger rental options is the brand new Put-in-Bay Waterfront Condos which is located behind the airport right on Lake Erie with private decks that offer beautiful views of the water. Is Put-in-Bay lodging kid friendly?
Yes! Midweek, from Sunday through Thursday, Put-in-Bay is made for families and kids. The Island Club Houses and Put-in-Bay Condos both have lots of interior space to bring the family together as well as a large pool area to have fun in the sun. There are so many options for kids’ activities while visiting Put-in-Bay.
