Over those years she has taught a combined first and second grade class, a combined second and third grade class, first grade through sixth grade math, fourth grade and currently third grade. Congratulations on a fantastic career Debbie. You made a difference!
Spring is upon us and our students are anxious to walk or ride their bikes to school again. Please drive slowly and follow our drop-off/pick-up procedures to ensure the safety of our children. We would like parents to please drop-off/pick-up along Catawba Ave. instead of occupying a parking space in the school parking lot. Parking is limited and we would like to reserve spaces for patrons of our library.
On April 15th, our two seniors, Kate Byrnes and Jacob King, embarked on a class trip of a lifetime. They will be talking about this trip for a long time!

In 2020, Jacob King stepped outside the walls of Put-in-Bay School and voyaged across Lake Erie to capitalize on the vocational opportunities offered at Vanguard Career and Technical Center. The past two years Jacob has continued to develop his interests in the Computer Aided Design (CAD) and the Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) courses embedded in his Engineering Technologies Program (ETR). Jacob excelled in the laser, 2D and CAD topics, as well as solid modeling. In addition, Jacob earned his National Institute of Metalworking Skills (NIMS) certification and also passed all of his WebXams. Following graduation, Jacob plans to attend Terra State Community College and further his studies in CAD. Vanguard will hold their senior recognition program on May 10th. Jacob is the grandson of Pat and Theresa Finney. Congratulations on a job well done, Jacob.
Our last day of school is Thursday, May 26th, with students being dismissed at noon. Graduation will take place the following day, Friday May 27th, at 6:30 p.m. at the Perry Monument.
