What’s Happening at Your Local Library?
Beginning March 1st, while supplies last, we will have rock painting kits available to be picked up at the library. Now that the weather is clearing, it’s time to paint rocks to spread the cheer around our island! These kits will include a set of five different colors of acrylic paint and a paint brush. On the back print: #PutinBay Rocks #EIL Post your picture to the Erie Islands Library Facebook and Put-in-Bay Rocks Facebook page. Then hide your rock somewhere on the island for others to enjoy.
Tuesday, March 9th at 2 p.m. – DIY Cocoa Bombs: Librarian Kim Pugh will share her love of hot chocolate bombs. She will be showing us how to make them on Facebook with ingredients found in your own kitchen.
Wednesday, March 17th at 2 p.m. – Irish Day with Sue: This will be a Zoom event. Registration required. Call 285-4004 to register or click link found on the idarupprupp.org website under “programs” to register your email address.
Join Librarian Sue Duff for a fun-filled afternoon. We are looking for people with Irish backgrounds or those that are interested in Irish traditions to celebrate with us. Let’s talk about why this holiday is celebrated and the history behind St. Patrick. Do you have a favorite Irish dish? Share the recipe with others.
There will be kits at the library for making green shamrocks available at the library the week of the event, while supplies last. Think green!
Thursday, March 25th at 5:30 p.m. – Words & Wine Book Club: Join us and share a book you have read from the comfort of your homes while enjoying a beverage of your own choosing. Even if you haven’t had time to read, you are welcome to join us to hear what others are suggesting. We can’t wait to hear what you have been reading the past couple months!
It’s easy to sign up for this Zoom event. Just click the link at idarupp.org and register your name and email address.
Or, call us at (419) 285-4004 and give us your email address.
You will be sent a link to join in the Zoom fun. Hope you can make it!
