If you’re heading out onto the waters of Lake Erie to do some fishing, the Wharfside is an essential stop. At Wharfside, you can pick up all of the bait and tackle you’ll need, as well as things for the boat and all of those small important things like sunscreen that you may have forgotten. Another thing you may forget that you can buy at Wharfside is a State of Ohio Fishing License. The fishing is great around Put-in-Bay. So great, in fact, that Lake Erie has earned the nickname Walleye Capital of the World. Smallmouth Bass and Yellow Perch are also frequent finds. If you want fish up at Put-in-Bay, almost all the restuarants offer their own take, but they’re all hard pressed to beat a fish you caught and grilled up on your own!
You’ll find the Wharfside in downtown Put-in-Bay, right on the water. A prime location to make your final preparations for your boating trip, be it some beers, soft drinks, cigarettes or snacks. Whatever you’ll need out on the water, they have it at the Wharfside.
The Wharfside and Topsy Turvey
If you ended up not having any luck catching your dinner out on the lake, come right on back to Wharfside, because in the same building, you’ll find Topsy Turvey. At Topsy Turvey, you can drown your sorrows about your rotten fishing luck with their signature Bloody Mary’s and Brandy Alexander’s. And since you weren’t able to snag your dinner, chow down at Topsy Turvey. They’ve already caught the perch for you, and they’ll deep fry it for their amazing Perch Platter. If fish isn’t what you’re after, you can also have their famous Cuban sandwich, or a Reuben. Topsy Turvey’s menu is short, but everything they make, they make exceptionally well. So make the Wharfside your essential pre-boating stop, and Topsy Turvey your post-boating tradition!
