Saint Paul’s Episcopal Church is one of the oldest churches in Ohio. Today it serves Put-in-Bay as a house of worship, a historical site, and a prominent member of the island community.

The church was founded in 1864, and the physical building was completed a year later in 1865. This is actually earlier than Put-in-Bay’s incorporation.

Saint Paul’s holds services year-round. In the offseason and winter months, services are at 10:30 AM on Sunday mornings. During the season, however, when Put-in-Bay hosts hundreds of thousands of summer visitors, Saint Paul’s adds an additional service at 7:45 AM on Sundays, so that more people are able to attend. Saint Paul’s performs offers marriage ceremonies and vow renewals. They also perform the sacraments of communion and confirmation, as well as baptisms.
