After your meal, make sure to keep the vacation festivities going with more adult beverages at The Fish Bowl right next door. This Put-in-Bay hotspot shares the Valentine Doller building with Mossbacks. The Valentine Doller building was named after Valentine Doller, one of the island’s 19th century patriarchs and considered to be quite the important person in Put-in-Bay history. Could Valentine have stashed his chest of gold ducats somewhere in the building? Most locals would deny such an outlandish rumor, but you can be guaranteed to find yourself a gigantic beer served in a fishbowl!
Testimonials
Sam G: “Came to Mossbacks while in town for a bachelor party with a large group of guys and they were able to accommodate our group. I picked Mossbacks because I don’t live in Cleveland, Ohio anymore and I really wanted to eat food from back home. I went with the perch and pierogies and was very happy! Both were cooked perfectly and hit the spot for back home cooking! The service was very good, especially considering we had such a large group. I would recommend Mossbacks and would return the next time I am in Put in Bay.”
Mike M: “Visited Mossbacks at the suggestion of a local shop worker. Was not disappointed. Good food and the service was prompt and friendly. Nice views and central location. I definitely recommend stopping by when visiting the island.”
Nathan B: “I’ve noticed a trend while writing reviews for my recent trip to Put in Bay. Every server we had was great. And the server here was no exception. We came in for a drink to get out of the rain and also had some tasty carrot cake (made from scratch).”
