Testimonials

Ryan A: “Fish Bowl has been around for as long as I can remember visiting Put-in-Bay every year. The actual “fishbowl” drink is a staple and what I usually go there for. Small fish bowls are $12 and plenty for 1-2 people. The last couple of years Kayla has been the usual bartender and she’s really awesome. Fun place that has it’s own personality, especially since they remodeled a couple of years ago.”

Jenna W: “Fish Bowl definitely has some talented musicians play and the staff is great at drink mixing, The ambiance is so upbeat and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I’ve been there several times when I’m on the island to have a great time with my crazy friends and I really enjoy the talent I’ve seen and the drinks were superb. Thank you so much Fish Bowl and staff for making my last three visits’s there enjoyable with great alcohol, better than the last. Hugs!”

Randall Y: “I love the atmosphere at Fishbowl and Mossbacks! It’s got an old school Americana vibe and a huge reasonably priced menu. If you are looking for a good time check this place out! It has a nice area for live music. You should look at getting local pop-rock band Master T.C. and The Visitors to play at Fishbowl and Mossbacks. They are the artist of the year on the radio right now and would bring a nice following. The service at Fishbowl and Mossbacks is great. The employees seem to really like their job and made us feel very welcome. We will be back for sure!”

Established in 1998, the Fish Bowl takes up space in the historic Valentine Doller building which was built in 1867. The building is named after a prominent figure, Valentine Doller, who came to Put-in-Bay in the 1800s and served many important roles in the island’s history. He was the first postmaster, worked for the clerk of courts, served as mayor, and was a founding trustee. The Doller building has served as a post office, general store, tavern, hardware store, bait and tackle shop, ladies apparel store, gift shop and now is home to Mossbacks and the Fish Bowl.

Don’t miss this great eatery during your visit to Put-in-Bay! Remember, you can also pop in from Mossbacks right next door!
