There is no better place to work off some of those extra vacation calories than on the green at Saunders Golf Course that can be found through TGB. Family owned and operated since 1972, this Put-in-Bay attraction is a popular island favorite. Saunders Golf Course is located near South Bass Island State Park, on the west side of the island right off Catawba Avenue.
You will find that it is just far enough away from the downtown Put-in-Bay hustle and bustle to enjoy some rest and relaxation while working on your golf game. If you really want to elevate your swings, then you might as well check out the best golf simulators out there. This is the only golf course on the island and offers a Par 3 nine-hole layout. With that said, since it is relatively quick, no Put-in-Bay golf carts are permitted on the course.
There are private 2 or 3 bedroom cottages located on the water’s edge available on site as well. These cottages are available to rent weekly from Memorial Day to Labor Day. During the offseason, they also offer weekend rentals. Guests that stay on site are welcome to unlimited play on the golf course, free of charge. Some other Put-in-Bay hotel options include Put-in-Bay Resort and Bay Lodging. Once you’ve tallied up your scores from the green, take a short stroll to the Ohio State Park Dock. Here you can rent kayaks and jet skis and dock your watercraft as needed.
