Delicious appetizers at the Keys include Conch Fritters, Grouper Fingers, and Buffalo Shrimp. Lunch offers the notable She Crab Bisque, Tortuga’s Kale Salad, and the local-favorite Grouper Reuben. There are so many great food options to choose from, the hard part will be just making the decision.

For dinner, dig into the Floridian-inspired Perch Platter or Blackened Mahi Tacos — blackened Mahi wrapped with coleslaw and traditional taco toppings that combine to create a truly memorable meal. Ian P: “This place makes you feel like you’re on a tropical vacation! The drinks are to die for! The Rum Runner that I had was very fruity and strong and a perfect combination of juices and alcohol! The Grilled Mahi Mahi fish tacos that I had also were so flavorful and delicious that I could have had two plates of them. Overall, a great tropical escape on a non-tropical island! Highly recommended!”

Mike F: “When we decided to eat here, it was because we really wanted to eat by the water. That’s the main reason we come here in the first place, and they have great outside seating right on the waterfront. When you approach, it looks like a tourist place, and I suppose it is. But you must give credit where it is due, and the food we had (Monday late afternoon, September 7th), was really awesome, and better than we expected. We started with conch fritters, and they were as good as any we’ve had anywhere. I had the grouper Reuben, and my wife had the lobster sliders. Both looked very appealing and tasted to match. The Reuben was on marble rye, toasted to perfection. The sliders had plenty of lobster in them and were very tasty.

The side salad my wife ordered looked like something from a craft restaurant with a local garden. She was too full to eat it, so I saved the day there, and really enjoyed it. Looking at the reviews, I don’t know if they are consistently this good. They are in a tourist spot and clearly depend on some student labor. But they were on it this day, and the food was just fantastic.”

These are just a few of the many bars the island has to offer. Just a short walk away on Catawba Avenue you will find the Reel Bar, the Irish pub Hooligans, Fishbowl, and Mossbacks.
