Kimberly’s Carousel is one of the oldest carousels in the country and was built in 1917. George Stoiber grew up riding the carousel as a child and purchased the beloved attraction to pay homage to his childhood on the island. He desired to restore the carousel back to its original glory days, which included 12 of the original horses. George has also added some fun characters to the ride, with the assistance of his wife’s artistic skills, which also give credit to the island’s rich history. Choose from a variety of animals to ride on, including a five-foot Lake Erie perch. There is also a ‘lover’s tub’ that mimics the same seat George remembers from childhood.
