Wild Tuesday Presented by Lake Erie Islands Nature & Wildlife Center
The purpose of Wild Tuesdays is to educate visitors on Ohio’s native wildlife. This event provides an up-close and often hands-on interactive experience. There is always an amazing group of speakers who come out for each individual topic. Weekly topics last year included: Salamanders, Invasive Species, Snakes, Sunny Days, Birds, Bats, Fish, and Dragonflies. This is the perfect summertime activity for families. Wild Tuesday was created to teach locals and visitors about wildlife and conversation. By providing a hands-on experience, attendees will walk away learning so much about the environment around them.
Wild Tuesday is an island tradition where participants learn about Ohio’s wildlife. These programs are sponsored by Lake Erie Islands Nature & Wildlife Center, Lake Erie Islands Conservancy, The Ohio State University’s Stone Laboratory, and Miller Boat Line. Check back throughout the summer to see what topics will be covered during Wild Tuesdays. This is the perfect opportunity to teach children about the wildlife that resides by Lake Erie.
