007 in Put-in-Bay?
Bob Adamov
Releasing Sawdust Joint
• A James Bond-like Adventure
• Worked with the President of the Ian Fleming Foundation
• Named Best Lake Erie Author in 2022
• Memory LayneWins Best Fiction Novel
Award-winning, island author Bob Adamov is releasing his 18th Put-in-Bay-based, mystery adventure novel, Sawdust Joint, by
the end of June. This one has an interesting link to James Bond/Ian Fleming.
“Little did I know that sharing the speaker’s platform years ago at a Clive Cussler Collector’s Convention in Las Vegas would
evolve into the inspiration for this new book. That’s where I met Mike VanBlaricum, the president of the Ian Fleming Foundation.
Mike is a compelling speaker and has the world’s largest collection of Ian Fleming documents as well as over 40 of the vehicles from
the James Bond movies. Through our friendship, Mike became my technical advisor for Sawdust Joint which sees our protagonist
stretch his abilities,” Adamov commented.
The Story in Brief
Jamaica to Put-in-Bay to Wooster to Tulare to Las Vegas to London to Morocco to the French Riviera to Norway to New
Orleans…
What’s killing dairy cows? Investigative reporter Emerson Moore’s search for the source takes a deadly turn when he focuses on
infiltrating a British biotechnology company suspected to be involved with the deaths of the dairy cows and several humans.
Following the unexpected death of a close colleague, Moore faces his most formidable challenge yet as he embarks on a James
Bond-like international odyssey with the help of a technological genius and a Royal Canadian Mountie as his unlikely wingman to
confront a vengeful nemesis bent on bioterrorism.
Sawdust Joint promises to be the most exciting Emerson Moore adventure yet as he finds his physical endurance and mental
capabilities pushed beyond their normal limits. Filled with casino action, a bevy of beautiful femme fatales, dangerous mountain road
chases, treacherous cliff face climbing, incarceration in a Moroccan prison and high technology, Moore matches wits with a diabolical
villain who is one of the most dangerous men he has encountered.
