The mooring buoys at the Put-in-Bay harbor are a very popular choice of anchorage at South Bass Island, as well as the Boardwalk Fuel Dock. It’s located right by downtown, it’s far out enough to be calm and serene, but the great harbor taxi service will pick you up and put you right in the heart of the action. The harbor taxi service has no additional fee, and you can use it to get to and from the mooring as many times as you need. Use VHF channel 10 to hail one of the three harbor launches, provided by The Boardwalk and operated by United States Coast Guard licensed captains. Below are the hours for the harbor taxi service.

The field of mooring buoys is managed by Boardwalk Harbor Operations on behalf of the Put-in-Bay Port Authority. Per Port Authority rules, the mooring field does not allow reservations.
Marine fuel and pump-out service are available at The Boardwalk. You can also Dock & Dine, a great deal Sunday-Thursday, where you pay $30 to dock any size vessel for 4 hours, and receive a $15 gift credit to any of the fine choices in the Boardwalk family of Put-in-Bay restaurants. The hours for Dock & Dine are Sunday from noon-8 PM and Monday-Thursday from 10 AM-8 PM. For more information call (419) 285-3695.
