What’s Happening at Your Local Library?
We are excited to announce that we now have pickup lockers available. If you desire to pick up your items outside after or before our business hours, we can place your items in a hold locker to be picked up at your convenience. All you need is your card number and pin. Monday, October 4th to Friday, October 8th: Interactive Movie Kits for Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone
Let us create a ‘date night’ for you and your family. Come to the library and check out one of our ‘Let’s Stay In’ date night bundles. We will provide a movie, a bag of popcorn, all the props needed for up to four moviegoers and a couple munchies to make your time together entertaining. Tuesday, October 5th – 5 p.m.: Hot Wheels Night at the Library
Looking for something to do after school with your friends? Join us at the library to design your own race track for Hot Wheel cars. Who will have the fastest track? The longest track? We have everything needed: tracks, connectors, cars. Fun for all ages! Snack will be served.
Monday, October 11th – 10:30 a.m.: Story Time for Toddlers
Join Librarian Karen Wilhelm for a half hour of reading, song and a craft to take home. Parents and caregivers are asked to stay with their children.
Wednesday, October 13th – 5:30 p.m.: Words & Wine Book Club
Join us and share a book you have read while enjoying a beverage of your own choosing. Even if you haven’t had time to read, you are welcome to join us to hear what others are suggesting. We can’t wait to hear what you have been reading! This month we will be meeting at Duff Vineyards, weather permitting.
Tuesday, October 19th – 5 p.m.: Lego Night at the Library
We are excited to be able to hold Lego Club again in the library! Come build a creation that will remain on display in the library for one week. We have lots of Legos available.
Wednesday, October 20th – 1 p.m.: DIY Pumpkin/Halloween Wine Glass
Looking for a fun Halloween decoration for your home? Join us to paint a wine glass with a Halloween theme of your choosing. Pumpkin, bats, haunted houses? Let your creative juices flow!
Monday, October 25th – 5 p.m.: HalloReads at the PIB StoryWalk
Join us at the Put-in-Bay StoryWalk Trail for a fun evening. Enjoy a Halloween themed event dressed in your favorite Halloween garb! Refreshments and goodies will be passed out. Rain date: Wednesday, October 27th.
