Testimonials

Anna R: “My family and I like to take our boat onto Lake Erie to Put-in-Bay Ohio every summer. This is always one of my favorite stops on the island. From the awe-inspiring food made with fresh herbs and what they can grow in the garden, to the cocktails (the basil mojito also gets fresh basil and is to DIE for), and great wine selection, to the authentic Biergarten out front (although there’s good beer inside too!), it’s hard to make a wrong decision at the Goat! Oh, and did I mention the ever-changing dessert selection that’s usually homemade? Stop here. Eat here. Drink here. Just talk to the people that work here. A great time is almost guaranteed.”

Jose D: “One of the best restaurants on the island. The staff was friendly and urgent, and I personally love their accents. The atmosphere is great. French music plays in the background and the restaurant is adorned with tasteful taxidermy, retro posters, and intimate lighting. The food was spectacular. I had their take on the Cuban sandwich that balanced savory gruyere cheese, sweet luau bread, and salty pork, salami, and ham in perfect harmony. It is my favorite take on the sandwich. My girlfriend had a side salad, garden tomato basil soup, and a raspberry mojito. The salad portion was generous and fulfilling. The soup was pure flavor. The mojito was a balance between mint freshness and a good rum. We finished our meal by sharing a delightful Creme Brulee. This is by far our favorite place and worth the trip to Put-In-Bay.”

Paul L: “A trip to the island is not complete without a great lunch or dinner at the Goat. You know you’re at the right place when you walk by the garden of fresh herbs and veggies they will be making your drinks and food with. A great escape from Cleveland. Even if your not much of a soup person the choices are so inviting you’ll end up with a cup to accompany the famous perch taco for a wonderful lunch. Dinner time is the best, there is nothing on the menu I’ve ordered that I have not liked. Guaranteed you’ll leave full and happy.”
