The Biergarten at the Boathouse Bar is modeled largely after a Bavarian beer garden — where “Every day is Oktoberfest” — and offers a relaxing patio area where friends and family can gather over cold steins of Warsteiner Dunkle or Konig Heffe. Get the group together for fun yard games, such as corn hole or Jenga. Try not to drool at the mouthwatering smell of brats on the grill.

For the hungry voyager to Put-in-Bay, German-style brats, as well as traditional Laugenbrezeln (pretzel bun) and potato cakes will satiate. All dishes are accompanied by homemade sauerkraut and house German potato salad.

If German beers aren’t quite appetizing, the Biergarten at the Boathouse offers other international drinks. These include Italian Negronis and fresh-squeezed radlers. But a nice stein of refreshing German beer right from the tap is the favorite option.
