Celebrate love, unity and diversity at the third annual Put-in-Bay Pride on Monday, June 9th. Festivities include a Colorful 5K run/walk at 10 a.m., an all-ages Scavenger Hunt from 1 to 3 p.m., a Comedy Show featuring Molly Kearney from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Boathouse, and the annual iconic Island Drag Show at the Round House at 9 p.m.
Put-in-Bay Pride returns for another joyful, vibrant celebration of identity, inclusion, and community. Whether you’re running through rainbow powder at the Colorful 5K, solving clues in the all-ages island-wide scavenger hunt, or enjoying top-tier entertainment with a 21+ comedy set and drag show, Pride Day offers something for everyone.
Molly Kearney, breakout star of Saturday Night Live and DMV, headlines the evening with a one-night-only comedy set at the Boathouse. Kearney, who made history as the first openly nonbinary cast member on Saturday Night Live, spent over a decade working on the island before landing roles on national television, including the upcoming CBS comedy DMV. In a recent interview on The Jeremiah Show, they reflected on their deep ties to Put-in-Bay: “I was at Put-in-Bay from 18 ‘til like 31,” Kearney said. “I was working like six days a week at The Forge or the Boardwalk or The Goat, depending which year it was… I was a pedicab driver, cave tour guide — I worked everywhere and shockingly have not got fired from one place.”
Their return to the island comes not as a bartender or tour guide, but as a headliner. The show runs 4 to 6 p.m. at The Boathouse, tickets are $20 at the door, and seating is first come, first served. This is a 21+ only event.
Later, island staff take the stage and transform into fierce, fabulous performers during the high-energy Drag Show at the Round House Bar. If you haven’t seen this show before, you are missing out on one of the most fun evenings of season!
Come early, stay late, and experience a day filled with laughter, love and unapologetic pride—right here on the island.
